Worst and Best-Case Scenarios

I've long felt the value in anticipating worst-case scenarios to be prepared emotionally and physically for what may come.

Only recently have I felt the balancing need for imagining best-case scenarios. Without spending time visualizing what might go well it's difficult to generate goals and direction.

I'm Rudy

From the movie Rudy. I've averaged 50 hours at work each week for the past 3 months. Yesterday I worked 24 hours straight. But I have very little to show for it. I've had my one play on the field so far but mostly I've just contributed determination instead of results.

Sometimes, especially when deadlines are pressing, the best way to move forward productively is to pause and wait.

With many demands on time and ability, taking a moment to listen lets the most important issues rise to the surface.

This presents a formal decision point that allows outcomes to be achieved by conscious choice rather than outside influences.
